Choosing a CMS often doesn't happen anymore. Too many companies automatically choose WordPress or SquareSpace or some other popular system. Often, it's because "other people use it" or "my cousin said it was good" or who knows what.
The bottom line is that you need to first consider your website goals, and in doing that, what your business needs to achieve marketing-wise. Then, figure out your functional needs etc.
